Reason #2: Every membership counts! Become a part of a national effort to improve the education, health, and welfare of every child. Membership numbers count when our representatives are lobbying for funding for education in the Florida Legislature or in Congress. Your participation really makes a difference!

Reason #1: The #1 reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. More than 30 years of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and in school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. Show your child how much you value education!

 

Who can join PTA?
Membership is open to anyone who cares about the education, health and welfare of children and youth and who supports the mission and purpose of PTA. Parents, grandparents, foster parents, mentors, teachers, administrators, and community members -- anyone can join!

What does it mean to join?
Joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer at school or attend PTA meetings -- although we hope you will! As a member, you will receive special perks throughout the year, like free food at PTA events. You'll also be able to vote on PTA issues, and receive additional discounts through the Florida PTA. 

How do I join?

Step 2: Fill out the application and submit it, along with your membership dues of $7.00 per person (or $12 for two), in an envelope to the attention of the PTA. Your child can deliver the envelope to his or her teacher, or you can drop it by the school office. We accept cash or checks payable to Denham Oaks PTA.
